Collection: Pamela Alberda

I’ve sewn for as long as I can remember, and have always loved fabrics. I even drew fabric designs for my paper dolls! I bought an Elna sewing machine from a school sale when I was a teenager and have now had that very machine for 50 years! I even took it to England where I lived for a bit. It feels like an old friend.

Some of my favorite things to sew are costumes, clothes, and toys for my grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A few years ago, I made a bunny for my niece out of a re-purposed wool sweater, and fell in love with this sweet, soft Woolybun, as we call them. I began making them, along with felt birds, for sale. In 2023, to my delight, I was accepted as a member at WomanCraft!

Come see me on Wednesday afternoons. I’m glad to make custom bunnies and recently made one using my client’s childhood baby blanket for decorative elements.
