I have always loved jewelry. Even as a child I would save up money and when the coffers were full, I’d head to the local department store jewelry counter. Fast forward. Life happens. Career. Kids. Family. And then best decision ever, to take jewelry fabrication classes at the Carrboro Art Center (about 20 years ago). What a rush to light up that torch and solder metals to create my hearts’ desire. After setting up a home studio my creativity soared. I have fused my love of antiques and jewelry. I create one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces made from beautiful vintage treasures - Victorian tokens, findings, pendants, medals, watch fobs, religious relics, beads, brooches and gemstones - all are artistically reassembled using mixed metals of oxidized sterling silver/brass/gold-filled wire, chain, silk or leather cord to create contemporary time-honored originals sure to be as unique as it wearer.
