I am a native Virginian but am happy to call North Carolina home. I have always enjoyed making things with my hands and the joy of creating work that brings pleasure to others. Over the years I have dabbled in sewing, crewel embroidery, knitting, and crochet. My current passion is painting.

As a decorative painter, I am self taught though I have taken classes with several different professional artists. My painted pieces are done primarily on glass, and patterns are inspired by traditional lace or crochet patterns, historical decorative borders, and my own imagination.

Recently, I've discovered the joy of painting barn quilts, just on a smaller scale. These painted interpretations of fabric quilt block patterns adorn outbuildings and barns around the country. Mine can be hung indoors - or outside.

I still go back to crochet and counted cross stitch from time to time and you might find some of these items from me at WomanCraft.
