Conversation Heart Rainbow Prism Decals - set of 12
HUBBA HUBBA, these handsome prismatic decals are a new take on an old treat! Tuck one inside a Valentine's Day card to share some rainbow magic with your CUTIE PIE or BFF. Or, use them to decorate home or office for Valentine's Day and show the birds some love by helping them to see your windows. No matter how you use them, they are HOT STUFF.
This set of 12 decals is made of durable, reusable, phthalate-free, prismatic vinyl. The clear decals change colors with the light and will cast rainbows on your walls. The photos and video show them in different light conditions. They stick using static cling and will not leave sticky residue on your windows. This set includes 12 different 3.8" conversation hearts. They are easy to apply using warm water, and every set comes with instructions. To make rainbows, they do need the light to hit them from the correct angle. In sunny north or south facing windows, they can produce rainbows for much of the day. In east or west facing windows, you can expect about 2 hours of rainbows each day in the morning (east) or evening (west).
The decals work best for preventing bird strikes when applied to the outside of the window. The writing is readable from the side of the glass the decals are on (e.g. readable from the inside if the decals are on the inside).
Place decals 2-4 inches apart using enough to cover most of the window. They will break up the reflections that confuse the birds. For more information about bird strikes and how to prevent them, please see allaboutbirds.org published by Cornell University Ornithology Lab. Search for "window strike."
If bird strikes are not a concern, place the decals on the inside of a sunny window. They cast rainbows in bright sun, and they are beautiful in any lighting. The pictures in this listing show the decals in a variety of light conditions. They even cast beautiful projections on window shades and curtains.
