Emu Eggshell Bowl
This small bowl is made of an emu eggshell! The outside rim is carved to reveal the natural colors of the different layers of the shell. The pebbly texture and colors are unique on each shell. The outside may slowly change color over time becoming more blue/gray. This natural process is different for every eggshell.
The inside of the egg is painted with acrylic using a variety of techniques to create an abstract color-scape, The painting is a celebration of the magic that happens inside of eggs. It is finished with several layers of protective coating to strengthen the shell, but please handle with care. The bowl comes with a hand-stained wooden display ring, handmade box and an information card. It measures about 3 inches tall by 3.5 inches in circumference.
