Petrified Wood and Sandstone Mobile
This mobile is a combination of petrified wood and picture sandstone. During the petrification process, the wood grain was beautifully preserved. Looking closely at some of the small openings in the petrified wood, tiny quartz crystals can be seen, as in a geode. The layering in the sandstone creates pictures of cloudy landscapes. This mobile is a fun addition hung on a wall bracket inside or out on a porch. The wire holding everything together is brass. The mobile hangs down 15 inches and across 7.5 inches.
