I hope you enjoy my watercolor painting of a delightful little hummingbird. A hummingbird feeder hangs on my deck.  I am thoroughly inspired by watching these beautiful, fascinating birds, listening to their chirping and the constant and different sounds of their wings in motion.  Hummingbirds flap their wings from about 10 to more than 80 times per second while hovering.  Only once have I seen one actually sit on the feeder.  They can also fly backward.  And most weigh less than two pennies.

Framed size: 12x16 inches
