Gourd Bowl
Some gourds are just perfect for making decorative bowls. This one is made from a Carolina canteen gourd.
I use only gourds supplied by Mother Nature, so slight imperfections become part of their charm. I have hand painted this one with folk-art designs and trimmed it with raffia and coordinating beads. It's lightweight, but very sturdy. It has an inside diameter of 7.5 inches and measures 5 inches high.
This item is made by Rosemarie Hunter. Rosemarie's complete collection is available at our Carrboro, North Carolina store. To see more of her items available online, click here.
