Wood Pyrography Art - Cat
Pyrography (“writing with fire”) is the free-handed art of decorating wood with burn marks resulting from the controlled application of a specialized heated tool. Color can be added after burning.
This piece features a cat with green eyes sitting on a ledge. It is burned on live-edge Basswood. A touch of color was added after burning.
The size is 7x11 inches and is approximately ½ inch thick. To care for this piece, keep it away from direct light and protect it from extremes of heat, moisture, and dryness. This can be hung on a wall or put on a table easel to display. A sawtooth hanger is attached on back for hanging.
